Thought I'd make a follow up 2 months later to RK's post. We had a drink and then without RK due to suspicious circumstances did it again. John was good at driving too.

So now for the Christmas plan:
I don't know where this fits with important dates but the aim is for the 2nd Thursday of the Christmas holidays, staying at Snaeths house in Manchester, now I've told a couple of people who live near by and they are keen to enjoy James' hospitality so it needs to happen.

So we're still getting 10 hits a day even with nothing new on here, I'll tell a brief bit on my trip to Belfast with hockey.

We were staying in a hostel in a "dangerous" area down a back alley with a dingy pub next door called The Tavern which had a metal cage round the door and a large security camera directly above it. Plus it had no windows. With regards to the hockey we lost the first game 8-4, the side story is that it was at 7am, and foolishly myself and our goalkeeper had gotten rather drunk the night before when the rest of the team had gone to bed and so he played terribly and I scored a goal. The 2nd game fared better, the same day at 10pm, only lost 3-2, I put in some very illegal but much loved checks that went unpunished on 2 guys who were about a foot taller than me. To finish it off on the last day a big black dildo was fed to a lion in the Belfast Zoo, videos soon!

Half way to Christmas, good or bad?

Still don't think much of welsh stuff but at least they lost at their only sport real bad the other day. Ooh and I found a Welsh Resturant the other day and it looks really nice and posh serving Welsh food.. wait a second what the hell is Welsh food other than cheese on toast, I looked on the menu outside and it seemed to try to change the subject and not mention any food.

In our first hockey league match of the year (I missed through illness) one of our players had is ear split right open by the puck in the final minute after having been slashed in the throat with a stick.

My uni timetable sucks this semester, I have Monday 9.00 and Friday I finish at 5.00, grrrrr.

I'm currently working a new website to replace the old shellsoft one, and i agree about jazzing this place up a bit... Oh I bought www.shellsoft.co.uk in a moment of madness.

Apart from that I bought a Mac this summer - now i am a true geek!

Oh I also learnt that i really can't play golf.... I took 68 swings to complete the academy course....

We're a bit too far into the 'Keith Curl' stages of the site and we need to head more 'Bo Derrick' styly.

Anyhow, I must post something on this site, so here is the story of how I nearly got arrested. Sorry for phoning you at 3.30am Adam.

Went to the rock club that I frequent, again. Had an awesome night, because it is the first week of Manchester uni. The queue was the massive. But quick to get in. Ish.

Anyways, for 80p a bottle of XXXX, we naturaly got very drunk. Some more than others.

A little backstory now. Last week, Wrenchy went a little crazy on the way home, leaped a wall at the garden centre, and ran along the miniature railway, before reaching the back of the centre, and scaling another wall.

So this week, we were discussing wether we should do it on the way home...

We arrived at the centre, waited around for a bit (Wrench fell backwards off a kerb, the drunken bugger). Me and Jonny heard the security guard whistling, but no one else beieved us. We then decided no one else would show, so we went for it.

We climbed through the gates, and sneaked down to the track. From then on it was a fun and long trek around the centre, cutting in and out of shadows along the track. At points we saw/heard signs of the guard, and ran faster.

Wrench obviously is the expert at this, as he'd done it before, so halfway round he took the lead. He ran into this tunnel, and there was a massive freakin bang/yelp. The muppet had run full speed into the back of the train!! Rofl.

We managed to go around it inside the tunnel, and I thought we'd reached the back of the park... Only to find we'd done a circle, and we were at the entrance.Anways, we climbed through the gate, to see the security guard waiting for us waving his flashlight. Then an alarm went off somewhere (cannot have been us) so we kinda speed walked away.

Wrench by this point could hardly walk.Anyways, we hid in a local estate which we didnt know, and we heard sirens.... The police were called! Genius.

Anyhow, a mate of mine messaged me saying, that were we still in there, omg there is police!So we walked around for a bit. And eventually split up. Jonny and Coff walked home, Me, Wrench and Greeny waited for a taxi.While we were waiting this car pulled up so we hid, thinking it was the police. Eventually we checked, and it was our taxi. Dissapointingly, some fitties had offered to come rescue us just as the 'taxi' arrived.

The taxi driver asked us a few things like:

"Any of your mates just been picked up outside garden centre?"

"Yeah there was a police car, and a police van!"

Our answers:

"Nah mate"

"Were they our age?"

"Rofl"
So anyways, we drove past and the police had long gone.

Summary: Security guards, Police, Trains. Awesome.

Now I just have to wait to see if anything comes up on security tapes Best comedy thing, we have ever done.

The idea is, that at christmas, we all take a cardboard box, design a carriage, and make a 'train' and just steam round the track.

I'm still laughing now. Omg.

Right so seeing as we are all heading off back to our adopted homes once more I have to ask the question.. do we need to make this place look less shit? I mean the blue used to be cool and friendly and bouncy, but I feel it sucks now and seems really childish and that us "uni" guys need it to look a little more "bo derek".

Ok apart from that people need to make longer more interesting posts as I discovered yesterday that we have had over !100 hits! in the past month. Now I'm not sure about you (Phil) but these people need to read better stuff and see better stuff, such as more Sheldon drawings, so get to work please.

Due to a misunderstanding on my behalf, there is no free house on Tuesday (today.) This only concerns those of you who had seen the previous update. If you didn't then nevermind.

However, free housage is still on for Wed and Thu.

Update on the free house:

This week commencing (Monday 25th), my house will be free on Wednesday and Thursday, and quite possibly Friday. My mother won't be back until the following week I believe, so that could extend free houseness, but my brother will be about, so it's not 100% free.

As a summary: Free house on Wednesday and Thursday guaranteed.

Poker can be easily organised.

As for a LAN, if anyone has a hub/router/whatever the hell you use, and sufficient cables, then I guess it could be set up, but I assume this would be more complicated due to (if I recall) nobody owning any of those items.

In other news, Granty: How's the new house? I hear you're only about five minutes walking distance away now.

Well I have to say today really wan't just another Manic Moday...

It started off by me arriving at 9.00 to complete a Lab and finding the CAD server was down, so i wasn't able to do it! grrrrrr... Then after my first Lab 10-12 i sat down in the Unix lab to do some java, and all the screens started to flciker... then shutdown, all the lights and computers went off and backup lighting came on (Labs have no windows :( ) 2 hours later then power came back on, in time for my lecture :( .... It was stupid United Utilities had cut through the main power cable taking out my department, maths, manchester computing (all the uni's computers went down), manchester museum and the science building. Anyway 5 minuites after the start of my lecture the fire alarm went off. I then stood on Oxford Road for over an hour as fire-engines kept appearing. A stupid Photocopier had exploded and caught fire, because of the surge when the power came back on. I'm exhausted now.....

woot - today i learnt the missing peice of my computing knowledge.... How to use the logic gates we learnt in control tech to make binary functions.... for example the load (LDA) function in assembly code. Know i know all the stages for the chips/logic gates, though to machine code (0 and 1's), to byte code, to assembler and then to high level language such as Delphi :).

On a more sad note i have a cold and feel sick..... and he rest of my year are on a pub crawl tonight.... brings back memories of bollington, Happy Days! :)

Owen rang me tonight to appologise once again ¬_¬. He seems to be pinning the blame on greeny, apparently he was told that it 'probably was called off' by Greeny. This then prompted Owen to un-book his holiday time from work. So now he can't come.

Since he works at his dads office I find this hard to believe, its more likely he never booked the time off and has found an excuse for it. It also handily moves the blame away from him and on to Greeny.

Katze, just realised Sheldon has booked the hire car. I don't know the exact dates, but I don't think we can postpone the trip by more than one day at most. :S. I don't know for sure, and untill sheldon looks at karrde we won't know, cos I'm certainly not going to phone him. If worse comes to the worst then we shall have to go without kirby, possibly he could arrive later. Who knows, but lets hope it doesn't come to that.

Ok, we have bad news on the Road trip front. Granty will be reading this when he comes back from his jollies, so I guess this is for sheldon and Phil.

First up greeny can't come :(. The uni he was meant to be going to has decided to withdraw their offer, a database error apparently. So he has enrolled in Geog at Stockport college. That starts on the first so he can't come. We can still use the tent though.

Secondly Kirby can only come if we delay the trip by a couple of days, to the Friday. This is fine with me, and hopefully ok with all of you.

I'm fine with only 7 people going, however this will make the trip a bit more expensive, I'm sure we can sort things out.

The only problem I can see if Owen decides not to come and tells us at the last minute.

We need a meeting about this, when Grant comes back of holiday, with EVERYBODY attending. I hope we can sort this out as I really was/am looking forward to this trip. :).

Damn him! I got one to, what the hell is this - I think it is rk trying to take to much credit for a meeting already planned (in phils name) and how did he message us all so efficiently when he can't even type.

Sorry havnt posted in a while. Been away a lot.

Greece - Was absolutely awesome, bladdered everynight except one. Lots of pics, will post them on TLA when i cba. Actually my fave holiday ever.

Minorca - Was teh fune. Missed louise but otherwise was gravy. Spent £17 of phones credit. Ouch. Pictures maybe not bieng posted on TLA. Altoough i do have a nice tan.

In other news im hosting another photshop ocmp on TLA. Who should we doodle on. Owen, kirby, sheldon, whitt or moggy.

Firstly, what the hell is sheldon on about in every single post he has ever made.
Secondly, kirby could at least have left the country during this 3 week "roadtrip with parents" type holiday or am I just misunderstanding him. When he says roadtrip does he mean they will be driving to their destination then getting out?
Finally I hope our trip is still on as I have bought a few bottles of beer back from France at a reasonable price, if there is 8 of us going it will cost everyone £1.50ish for it.

Ok off to London on Teusday with Mr Rawling and co... oh dear see you when the real holidays start I guess.
